Sanjin Pehlivanović wins three medals at European Billiard Championship

SARAJEVO, August 2 (FENA) - Sanjin Pehlivanović, a 16-year-old boy from Sarajevo and the best Billiard player in BiH, won three medals in junior competition at the recently completed European Championship in Veldhoven, in the Netherlands.

Although he is just 16 years old, Pehlivanović was allowed to perform in U19 junior competition.

In the past three years he played in the U17 competition and won six gold medals. When he became champion of Europe for the first time in 2014, he was only 12 years old.

Pehlivanović took the championship title in the "9 ball", discipline and won bronze medals in the disciplines "10 ball" and "14.1", or the Straight pool, stated the BiH Billiards Federation.

By winning the title, Pehlivanović gained the right to participate in the World Junior Championships (U19) that will be held this November in Russia. Last year he became world champion in the U17 competition.
