BIHAĆ, August 1 (FENA) - Reacting to the latest developments regarding the location for the accommodation of migrants, the Una-Sana Canton Prime Minister Husein Rošić has warned that SNSD and SDS "are competing who gets to be a bigger Serb at the expense of the Una-Sana Canton".
“Given the fact that the state does not have free property in the USC area, Minister of Security Dragan Mektić has asked that we agree on the temporary accommodation of migrants in the canton.
Medeno Polje was proposed as a location, and it was approved by Minister Mektić. But then Milorad Dodik stepped in with his statements and some allegations that Medeno polje is allegedly “a Serb land”, then suddenly, Mirko Sarović got involved with some absurd statements about how the cantons should not deal with the issues that are in competence of the state , after which the idea to use this location was abandoned. What else can we conclude after all this other than that Dodik obviously has the veto right on the site, and that SDS and SNSD are now competing who is a bigger Serb at our expense,” said Rošić.
Subsequently, it turned out that the Mayor of Bosanski Petrovac, Zlatko Hujić, agreed with Minister Mektić that the temporary center for migrants should be located in Lipa.
Apart from this being complete nonsense, because it is an empty land that is not under the jurisdiction of the municipality, Rošić says that even the location in Lipa was no longer an option after the media propaganda from RS.
“Obviously, migrants are here being used to create chaos in the country, and Milorad Dodik, as always, stands out as the main instigator of such events,” said Rošić, rejecting some of the claims from the media in RS that “SDA is sending migrants to the parts of the country where they are not in power”.
Rošić emphasizes that the entire Una-Sana Canton has a united stance when it comes to the migrant crisis "as much as it bothers some of the above mentioned".
