BANJA LUKA, July 30 (FENA) - Head of the Bosniak Caucus in the RS Council of Peoples Mujo Hadžiomerović expressed regret and dismay, because the government in the entity of RS once again showed no sensitivity towards the victims from the Bosniak people who suffered torture during the war.

“The Bosniak victims are also discriminated against under the Law on Protection of War Crimes Victims, as well as under the Law on the Internal Debt of RS from 2014, when they were denied at least some satisfaction, after having received the final court judgments, but thanks to this law, they will never live to see the payment of the damages,” Hadžiomerovic pointed out.

He asked who and why would be against the full harmonization of legal practice for proving the victim's status throughout BiH.

“If this was the case, then we would not have claims that one victim’s suffering is more important than the others’,” Hadžiomerović stressed after the session of the Joint Commission, where the Bosniak caucus amendments to the Law on Protection of Victims of War Torture were rejected and the law will now be reviewed by the RS Constitutional Court.
