SARAJEVO, July 27 (FENA) - Chairman of the BiH Presidency Bakir Izetbegović received the credentials from the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Ghana to Bosnia and Herzegovina, headquartered in Ankara, Salma Frances Mancell-Egale and from the Ambassador of Mongolia for BiH, headquartered in Vienna, Battungalag Gankhuurai.
Izetbegović informed Mongolian Ambassador about the current political situation in BiH and the process of implementing reforms in order to improve the quality of life of citizens and fulfilling the conditions for acquiring a candidate status for EU membership and activation of the MAP with NATO.
The interlocutors agreed that the overall relations between BiH and Mongolia are friendly, without outstanding issues, but insufficiently developed due to physical distance.
The two officials expressed readiness and the need for their improvement in all fields where there is potential for cooperation, primarily in the spheres of economy and cultural cooperation.
Mongolian Ambassador expressed hope that the long-lasting and friendly relations between BiH and Mongolia would continue to develop in the upcoming period.
Chairman Izetbegović at the ceremony of handing over the credentials of the newly appointed Ambassador Mancell-Egale also highlighted good bilateral relations with Ghana.
They expressed the need to regulate contractual relations, to sign bilateral agreements, and to initiate high-level visits in order to create a better basis for improving bilateral cooperation.
Particular emphasis was placed on the need for cooperation in the field of tourism.
Ambassador of Ghana expressed hope that in the coming period Ghana will see the first investments from BiH in this country.
Chairman Izetbegović wished the newly-appointed ambassadors a successful diplomatic mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina, stated the BiH Presidency.
