GORAŽDE, July 18 (FENA) - The EU Info Center in BiH today in Goražde presented a program "Creative Europe". At the presentation titled "EU programs – from an idea to reality", various opportunities for institutions and organizations in BiH were presented for them to nominate projects at pubic calls.

Aida Kalender, Head of Creative Europe Desk for BiH explained that the program covers two areas - culture and media, and is aimed at strengthening and developing cultural, creative and audiovisual sector.

“Culture programs include music genres, visual arts, theater, comics and photographs, and will be financed from an EU fund, provided that at least three countries apply together. Annually, we draw about 500,000 euros from these funds, since as the participating country in this project, we allocate about 200,000 euros,” said Kalender.

Head of the EU Info Center, Lejla Čamo, stressed that all projects should be set up in a way that they represent common good and that the local communities benefit from them.

“The applicants must indicate precise goals of their projects, together with feasibility assessment,” said Čamo.

During the presentation it was pointed out that the first big call will be announced at the end of August, and the value of the funds will be up to 200,000 euros. Institutions and legal entities registered for these types of activities are eligible to apply.

Bosnia and Herzegovina has been part of this project since 2015.

For the period 2014-2020, the total budget of the Creative Europe program amounts to 1.46 billion euros.
