TREBINJE, July 11 (FENA) - Producers in Bosnia and Herzegovina will again be allowed to export apples to the Russian Federation which lifted the ban after six months, said BiH Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Minister Mirko Šarović.
Pointing out that this is good news for BiH fruit producers, Šarović announced that the Russian officials will visit BiH in the coming period to verify the amount that should be exported to Russia.
Šarović emphasized that this review will be the basis to determine the exact quantities that BiH has at its disposal in terms of exports to the Russian Federation, which was under ban since January this year due to suspicion of re-exports.
We expect from the competent entity institutions to prevent any kind of abuse and irresponsible behavior of individuals.
“Illegal exports bring benefits only to certain individuals. If we are exporting products to the Russian Federation, the wider community will benefit from it, as well as reputable companies, numerous families and the entire country,” said Šarović.
