SARAJEVO, July 5 (FENA) - Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria Boyko Borissov met in Sarajevo with Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Denis Zvizdić and expressed full support to the European path of BiH.

Considering that chairmanship of Bulgaria over the EU just ended and has been taken over by Austria, he announced further support to BiH referring to talks with the Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz.

"It is important to keep connection and commit to development of digital infrastructure and projects related to economic development," he said.

Stating that his country is an example of ethnic and religious tolerance, Borisov recommends that after the upcoming October elections, "you in BiH need to decided which road to take" and he announced further Bulgarian support.

"Everyone from the European Union supports you, BiH is important because it can be a bastion and an ally in fight against radical Islamism and terrorism. You are important to the EU," said Borisov.

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Denis Zvizdić thanked the Prime Minister for everything Bulgaria has done for BiH over the past 25 years, especially because the Western Balkans has remained focus of interest of the EU during the Bulgarian chairmanship over the European Union.

"Bulgaria went through the process which BiH is about to go through and that is why they understand us very well. Prime Minister Borisov knows that the European perspective means peace, stability and prosperity for BiH and for the region," Chairman Zvizdić said.

European perspective is key foreign policy goal of BiH, added Zvizdić, as well as ongoing activities towards economic development of the country and development of infrastructure and preservation of peace and stability and fight against extremism and terrorism.
