SARAJEVO, June 29 (FENA) - Prime Minister of FBiH Fadil Novalić, Vice President of the Federation of BiH Melika Mahmutbegović, Minister of Interior of FBiH Aljoša Čampara and Director of the Federation Police Administration Dragan Lukač congratulated Police Day to all police structures of the Federation of BiH at a ceremony that was held at the Police Hall in Sarajevo.

Novalić and Mahmutbegović wished news police officers, who took oath today, successful work.

"There are 15 new police officers who completed the Police Academy. There were 182 trainees in the first half of this year, and we plan to have around 400 trainees by the end of the years," confirmed Minister of Interior of Aljoša Čampara.

He said that more efficient work and cooperation between the competent bodies in BiH and international exchange of data will be enabled by establishing a system of Automated Fingerprint/Palmprint Identification - AFIS/APIS.

"We also signed an Agreement on forming a contact point in BiH to complete the stage of implementation of Agreement on operational and strategic cooperation with EUROPOL. This agreement will improve operational cooperation between all police agencies, which is an important step in strengthening international fight against organized crime and terrorism," said Čampara.

Approaching the end of his second mandate as a director of the Federation Police Administration, Dragan Lukač stated this administration is the strongest police body in the state and it has a bright future ahead.
