Seminar on role of BiH art during and after conflict in the nineties

SARAJEVO, June 25 (FENA) - First edition of Kuma International Summer School dedicated to BiH contemporary art will be held on June 25-30 in Sarajevo, Embassy of Italy in BiH stated.

Students from thirteen countries (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Italy, France, Slovenia, Germany, Poland, Greece, Spain, Portugal, Holland, Norway, Denmark and the USA), will attend the lectures and conferences of renowned local and international artists, lecturers and representatives of BiH diaspora (from Austria, Canada and Australia) on role of art in BiH during and after conflict in the nineties.   

Lecturers are coming from universities in Bihać and Sarajevo, from the Courtauld Institute for Art and UCL School of Slovene and Eastern European Studies in London, from Salem State University from the USA and RMIT University from Australia.

Seminar is organized by Kuma International – international research center for visual art and esthetics in the aftermath of war memories, trauma and identity of post-conflict societies, based in Sarajevo in 2018 by Claudia Zini.

Seminar is organized in partnership with WARM foundation, gallery Brodac and Bosniak Institute - Adil Zulfikarpašić Foundation, under patronage of the Embassy of Italy in Sarajevo, it is stated.
