Čović: Joint representation of several districts to be opened soon in Brussels

SARAJEVO, June 24 (FENA) – Croat member of the BiH Presidency Dragan Čović announced opening of a joint representation of several districts from BiH in Brussels at the European Association of Regions, within the Council of Europe.

“There are already several representative offices from BiH in Brussels and what we need is this representation that would show the area where Croats live in a dignified way. We have completed preparations and that office will be opened soon,” stated Čović.

He especially thanked Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia Andrej Plenković, Mayor of Zagreb Milan Bandić and districts from RC, who helped solve all administrative problems in Brussels.

“We secured the space and we are defining the way how to do it and I believe we will open the office very soon, which will enable us to present our European policy, communicate with administration and enable the institutions to join big projects,” said Čović.

Čović confirmed he would attend a ceremony on the occasion of five years of Croatia’s membership in the EU on June 30 in Zagreb, which will also be attended, among others, by president of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker.
