BANJA LUKA, June 21 (FENA) - A pro-European bloc, gathering SDP, DF, NB, SBB, HSBiH, Working for Progress Party and Our Party, expects good results in the elections for the level of executive power in the RS entity, said today Enes Suljkanović, Vice President of SDP BiH.

Suljkanović said that this is a coalition for the RS National Assembly, while some of these parties have nominated their candidates for the president, or vice-presidents of this entity in BiH.

He reminded that in the local elections these apolitical parties got some 33,000 votes in RS, which he believes will make them a significant political power in the entity parliament.

“This shows us that the Pro-European Bloc will play a very important role on the political scene of RS as of October 2018,” Suljkanović said at a press conference in Banja Luka.

He assessed that there is only a declarative commitment in RS for the European integration of BiH, but that everyone in the entity is working to prevent BiH from becoming an EU member, because if this happens, then they would have to accept certain standards.

“The Pro-European Bloc however is truly committed to this project,” he added.
