SARAJEVO, June 19 (FENA) - Ranko Debevec, President of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Minka Kreho, Head of the Criminal Division, and Emira Hodžić, Court Registrar, welcomed today a delegation of judges of the Supreme Federal Court of Germany visiting our country.
The Court President informed the guests about the structure of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the jurisdiction, the caseload, the composition of the trial panels and other aspects of the work of the Court.
Judge Kreho presented major challenges in the work of the Criminal Division of the Court as well as the most important mechanisms for a successful and efficient conduct of proceedings.
Judges of the Supreme Federal Court of Germany showed interest in the position of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina within the judicial system of BiH, with special focus on war crimes criminal cases and their importance in the state of affairs in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Another topic that was discussed was the issue of regional cooperation in the field of war crimes. The guests also focused their attention on the current issue of amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code and the Law on Intelligence and Security Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Ms. Hodžić, the Court Registrar, elaborated on the current situation regarding the amendments to the referenced laws and the Court's efforts to overcome the period between the issuance of the decisions of the Constitutional Court and the failure to adopt the necessary amendments within the given time frame.
The guests were shown the Court's publication on processing of criminal offenses in the fields of corruption and terrorism, stated the BiH Court.
