SARAJEVO, June 19 (FENA) - Georgetown University and three theological faculties in BiH - Islamic, Catholic and Orthodox are organizers of the 17th session of seminar in Sarajevo dedicated to building better bridges between Christians and Muslims.

Gazi Husrev-bey's Library in Sarajevo is hosting the 17th Building Bridges seminar on "Inequality in the World: Christian and Muslim Perspective" which opened yesterday, gathering more than 30 experts of inter-religious dialogue.

Extraordinary professor at the Faculty of Islamic Sciences in Sarajevo Ahmet Alibašić said at the opening that this-year's topics of the forum are various types of inequality - racial, class, gender, ethnic, national, economic and others.

"This-year's international gathering of scholars and scientists is devoted to the issue of inequality, but also the way how Muslims and Christians deal with this global problem," said Alibašić.

Aim is to understand and question Christian and Islamic vision of life without divisions and inequality that the holy texts offer but also different interpretations.

Alibašić said it is important to "see where we misinterpreted the holy texts and see how to get principle of equality from them" within these four days.
