Swiss Embassy in BiH - Pupils as junior ambassadors of environmental protection

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, June 18 (FENA) - Pupils of elementary schools "Skender Kulenovic" from Sarajevo and "Sveti Sava" from East Sarajevo participated in the workshops on environmental protection held on Mt Trebević near Sarajevo in a project supported by the Government of Switzerland.

According to the statement from the Swiss Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the pupils went through several courses, but also they had time for entertainment, returning from Trebević with acquired knowledge, friendships and unforgettable experiences. They have become junior ambassadors who will spread the acquired knowledge about environment and nature in their surroundings.

“They learned that they should not throw the garbage on the ground but to recycle it. I am glad that they have learned a lot and have received the title of junior environmental ambassadors so that they can teach others how to behave and how to preserve natural environment, in this case Trebević Mountain, for the generations to come,” said Swiss Ambassador to BiH Andrea Rauber Saxer.
