SARAJEVO, June 18 (FENA) - In deciding on a motion filed by the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the case of suspect Milorad Obradović, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina issued, on 14 June 2018, a decision ordering the suspect into custody which can last no longer that one month after the arrest, that is, until 13 July 2018, or until a new decision of the Court.
Having established the existence of grounded suspicion, the Court ordered custody on the custody grounds set forth in Article 132(1)(a) and (b) of the Criminal Procedure Code, that is, on the ground of risk of flight, and the existence of particular circumstances indicating that the suspect will hinder the criminal proceedings by influencing the witnesses and the co-perpetrators.
Milorad Obradović has been suspected of the commission of the criminal offense of War Crimes against Humanity in violation of Article 172(1)(h), as read with sub-paragraphs a), e), f) and k) of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CC BiH), all in connection with Article 180(1) and Article 29 of the same Code, stated the BiH Court.
