Izetbegović receives newly appointed Ambassador of Spain Valdemor Gimenez

SARAJEVO, June 13 (FENA) - Chairman of the BiH Presidency Bakir Izetbegović received the credential letters from the newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to BiH, Jose Maria Valdemor Gimenez, who reiterated Spain’s support for the EU and NATO integration processes of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Ambassador Gimenez conveyed to Izetbegović that King Philip VI supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Izetbegović informed Ambassador Gimenez about the ongoing political situation in BiH, with a special emphasis on the country's EU and NATO path, which is a priority in terms of the country's foreign policy, and expressed expectation that the progress in these integration processes would continue.

The two officials agreed that the overall relations between BiH and Spain are good and without outstanding issues , with mutual desire and will for their improvement in all fields of common interest, especially in the segment of ​​economic cooperation by increasing trade exchange, cultural cooperation and tourism, stated the BiH Presidency.
