BH-Gas officially a member of European Network of Transmission System Operators

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, June 13 (FENA) - The gas supply company ‘BH-Gas’ today was officially admitted to the ENTSOG European Network of Transmission System Operators at the 34th General Assembly meeting in Bucharest, Romania.

‘BH-Gas’ will now have an observer status in this association because Bosnia and Herzegovina is not a member state of the European Union.

The ENTSOG was established by the European Union with the Third Energy Package with the aim of facilitating and improving cooperation between natural gas transport operators throughout Europe and the development of a pan-European transport network in line with the objectives of the European Union Energy Strategy and the Energy Community of the countries of Southeast Europe.

Currently, it gathers 45 companies - gas transport system operators that are full members of ENTSOG, while seven companies have observer status (including BH-Gas).

In this way, the ENTSOG gathers 27 member states of the European Union.

Additional benefits of the observer status are also reflected in the possibility of providing support and assistance to ENTSOG members in the implementation of the documents arising from the Third Energy Package.
