SARAJEVO, June 12 (FENA) - Employers in Bosnia and Herzegovina will be forced to import labor force, since the higher education sector does not create workforce that is instantly ready for the labor market. This was once of the conclusions of the roundtable at which representatives of privately-owned businesses talked about the professional training in employment.

“In the course of three months we trained CNC operators, and yesterday they started working as fully independent CNC operators. Such a worker is not expensive. This is the way to get a qualified worker. That is why we need to talk about dual education,” said Suhad Ećo, general manager of furniture company ‘Inside by Ećo’.

Presenting the past experiences in training and employment, employers say that small number of people applies for paid trainings. Thus, as an example of this he said that it was the most difficult to find educators for CNC machines.

Because of the above said problems, the project "Strengthening the education practices in BiH - introduction of the dual system,” has been initiated by the Hastor Foundation and Asa Prevent Group within the ‘Prilika Plus’ program.

Revisions will be conducted in the sphere of formal education, curriculum and practical training especially in those segments that do not meet the requirements of the industry, thus helping to improve the skills of 18 teachers and 15 mentors in the participating companies through vocational training, with the aim of improving the skills of a total of 375 trainees.

The project will be implemented in ten locations in BiH, ranging from highly developed to undeveloped, linking regions to an industrial ecosystem, it was said at the roundtable held at ASA Prevent Group.
