TUZLA, June 11 (FENA) - Footwear factory "Aida" from Tuzla, which has been in bankruptcy procedure for quite some time, was sold last week at a price of 3.5 million KM, which is significantly less than the debt that this company has accumulated towards its trustees.

So far, a dozen of failed auctions with different starting prices have been held. The Tuzla based factory was bought by "Intral BiH", which has already bought some of the production facilities of ‘Aida’ and has invested in their reconstruction.

The bankruptcy administrator Mehmed Krainović explained that the plant was sold at a public auction, and a total of four companies competed for it.

“Immediately before the start of the public auction, some companies gave up the bidding, and the buyer bought the plant at the price set by the creditors,” explained Krainović.

The former footwear production giant "Aida", entered the bankruptcy procedure more than two years ago, and the plant in Tuzla was the last facility of that company that was not sold.
