SARAJEVO, June 11 (FENA) - Association of independent industrialists and business people of Turkey (MUSIAD) and the Turkish-BiH Association of Businesspeople (TUBSIAD) organized an iftar (Ramadan evening meal) in Sarajevo on Sunday for their business partners, associates and friends.
On this occasion, MUSIAD President Bilal Kara and TUBSIAD President Abdurrahman Uvak signed the Protocol of Cooperation, expressing hope that this cooperation will be successful, saying that they want to work on progress and prosperity.
Guided by the principle "a strong Turkey, a strong BiH," they have called on traders and business people to help the BiH economy to network with their partners.
They emphasized that BiH has great potential and that everything produced in BiH can be successfully exported.
Ambassador of Turkey to BiH Haldun Koç congratulated the presidents of MUSIAD and TUBSIAD on the signed Protocol.
“Indeed, strong Turkey means strong BiH. This is the goal of all of us, and the only way to achieve this goal is strengthening of the economy, trade and economic cooperation,” said Koç.
He reminded that the trade exchange between Turkey and Bosnia and Herzegovina two years ago amounted to USD 500 million, and today it is USD 700 million.
He said that BiH is rich in resources, raw materials, and tourism is developing rapidly, and that these resources must be put to use more efficiently before BiH joins the EU.
He wished everyone happy and blissful Eid holidays, and invited investors, traders, business people to come and invest in BiH.
