SARAJEVO, June 8 (FENA) - Association from Sarajevo ‘Novi Mozaik’ (New Mosaic) joined today in the marking of the International Quds Day to support the Palestinian people and call for peace in the world.

Several members of this association organized a street campaign at the Eternal Flame Memorial in Sarajevo.

They presented the photographs of the events in Palestine, and distributed leaflets and materials to citizens about the importance of peace.

“Last Friday of Ramadan is marked as the International Quds Day. Today is the day of freedom and we want to show the whole world what is happening and how innocent people are being killed in Palestine,” told FENA the President of the association Alija Tvrtković.

He emphasized that the Palestinian issue is not an issue of Islam, but one of the key human rights issues and of mankind as a whole. He believes that everyone can find in themselves, by relying on their human values, to condemn the events in Palestine and express a reaction.

This date has been marked in BiH for the past 20 years, but citizens of this country in many other ways have also indicated to the regimes that quash human rights and spread hatred.
