SARAJEVO, June 6 (FENA) - The Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has amended the existing Bankruptcy Procedure Act. The amendments were adopted by the House of Peoples of the FBiH Parliament today, and the House of Representatives did the same on May 22.
The law has been amended to harmonize it with the FBiH Constitutional Court ruling stating that the workers of bankrupt companies have to be paid all the outstanding salaries, and not only the eight minimal ones prescribed by the previous provisions of the law.
The Constitutional Court of FBiH reached such a decision upon the appeal of the Vice-President of FBiH Milan Dunović.
He contested the provisions that limited the number and amount of salaries to be paid to workers in the companies in bankruptcy procedure.
