SARAJEVO, June 6 (FENA) - International Festival of Tea and Medicinal Herbs "Tea Fest“ opened in Alija Izetbegovic Square in Sarajevo today and will last until June 10.
Topic of this-year's festival is practice of essential oils in aromatherapy.
Directorate of the Festival announced interesting content such as programs "Return to Tradition", "Modern Scents" and "Skin Care".
Director of the Festival Samira Katica Arnautović said there has been a noticeable trend of adding value to products and young people in sector of medicinal herbs so there are more natural products now based on herbs.
"We are trying to educate and point to importance of daily consumption of bee and herbal products. Visitors can find tea, berry fruit products and cosmetics based on medicinal herbs," stated Katica Arnautović.
She added that this is one of the most successful sectors in BiH when it comes to foreign trade exchange and that it exported 21 million KM of products last year, of which ten million of profit included essential oils.
Directorate of the Festival called citizens of Sarajevo and guests to visit the festival and see excellent domestic products and buy them in promotional prices.
