WASHINGTON/SARAJEVO, June 4 (FENA) - The Center for Transatlantic Relations SAIS at the Johns Hopkins University in Washington announced that it will award the former US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, Hoyt Brian Yee, with “Mediterranean Leadership Award” for his contribution to strengthening democracy and supporting the euro-transatlantic integration in the Balkans.
Hoyt Yee will receive this award on 13 June, after the panel discussion "Western Balkans: Europe or not?"
The panel will be attended by Thomas Countryman, former Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and the Balkans, Daniel Hamilton, Daniel Serwer, Michael Haltzel of the Center for Transatlantic Relations, and Nebojsa Todorović, who is visiting the Center as a guest of the Mediterranean Pool at SAIS, also a former Deputy Health Minister of Montenegro.
The project of the Mediterranean Pool at SAIS is led by Dr. Saša Toperić and the acknowledgment of SAIS was also awarded two years ago to BiH journalist Vildana Selimbegović, Editor-in-Chief of the daily newspaper ‘Oslobodjenje’, for her contribution to the democracy development in BiH.
