SARAJEVO, June 3 (FENA) - Public call announced by Ministry of Defense of BiH at the end of April this year for admission of young soldiers to Armed Forces of BiH concluded, with 1621 candidates applying for 815 positions, of which 1591 applications were accepted.
Ministry stated they are pleased with the candidates who applied and they emphasized the significant number of women who applied this year.
“We have tested 449 candidates so far, results are excellent,” expert adviser in Staff Management Sector of BiH MoD Siniša Jeftenić told FENA.
Out of total number of candidates 382 have passed the elimination round. Out of 192 women who applied, 42 have been tested and 29 passed the elimination round.
Pushups, sit-ups and running 3200 meters are key during physical testing, which is done by a commission appointed by the state Minister of Defense Marina Pendeš.
Jeftenić called young people to apply for positions that remain vacant after the April call. Ministry will announce a new call in September.
