SARAJEVO, May 30 (FENA) - After the final analysis and examination of remains at 12 locations in BiH, representatives of the International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP) presented the results of the examination of those remains that are relevant to the work of prosecutors in the processing of war crimes cases.

Acting Chief Prosecutor of the BiH Prosecutor's Office Gordana Tadić and officials of the Special Department for War Crimes participated in the presentation of the results of the analysis of the remains, presented by the ICMP, which was conducted on the instructions of the Chief Prosecutor of the BiH Prosecutor's Office.

Within the analysis, the ICMP representatives presented results of the processing and identification of the discovered remains stored at a total of 12 locations throughout BiH, among which in Visoko, Odžak, Modriča, East Sarajevo, Banja Luka and Sanski Most, which were examined during the past two years, the BiH Prosecutor's Office stated.

These sites also contain remains that have not yet been identified and buried and the analysis has shown that by examining the John Doe remains in these objects, they have now reached 121 new identities and hundreds of re-association reports, as well as data on historical remains (remains outside the mandate of the Missing Persons Institute – BiH MPI), and other categories of John Doe cases.

It is expected that at the joint meeting, activities and treatment of the found remains will be defined, in such a way that the found remains are buried or permanently stored and identified, a part of the remains buried in the designated places, and also that a solution is found for the discovered remains that were not within the mandate of BiH MPI.
