SARAJEVO, May 30 (FENA) - Minister of Defense of BiH Marina Pendeš and associates met today with Ambassador of Great Duchy of Luxembourg to BiH Sandra Thein and talked to her about current issues in Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces of BiH.
They also talked about progress in process of registration of perspective military property, which is one of the conditions for activation of MAP for BiH.
Minister Pendeš informed Ambassador Thein about process of solving the issue of surplus weapons and ammunition and contribution of our country in peacekeeping missions, especially BiH contribution to future plans related to NATO operation "Resolute Support" in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
Pendeš used this opportunity to state she expects representatives of NATO member countries, including Luxembourg, to recognize the efforts that MoD and AF of BiH have done in the previous few years in fulfilling conditions for activation of MAP and approve implementation of the first Annual National Program (ANP) within the MAP process to our country at the next NATO summit.
Ambassador Thein emphasized commitment and support of Government of Luxembourg to activities implemented by Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces of BiH and added she is optimistic when it comes to activation of MAP for BiH and support to BiH for accession to Euro-Atlantic integration, PR Office of Ministry of Defense of BiH stated.
