SARAJEVO, May 29 (FENA) - Assistant Minister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina for Education Adnan Husić emphasized in his address at the 6th Dialogue on Educational Policies of China and Central and Eastern Europe Dialogue held in Shenzhen, the People's Republic of China, that one of the challenges of higher education in BiH is recognition of qualifications and studying periods and that reforms in this segment will improve mobility and internationalization of higher education.
The Dialogue has brought together high level representatives of the competent ministries in the field of education of the PR China and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe within the ‘16 + 1’ Mechanism.
The event is attended by a delegation from BiH comprised of representatives of the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH and entity ministries responsible for education.
Husić also emphasized that vocational education and trainings are in the focus of education reform in BiH and that our country is strongly committed to implementing the priorities from the Riga Conclusions.
During the visit to China, the delegation of Bosnia and Herzegovina visited the University of Shenzhen, as well as the Central Polytechnic School and participated in the 5th Conference of the Higher Education Institutes of China and Central and Eastern European Countries.
There delegation held bilateral meetings with representatives of the Shenzhen Education Department and Deputy Minister of Education of the People's Republic of China, Tian Xuejun, where they discussed the possibilities for enhancing bilateral cooperation of the two countries.
The two sides in particular discussed the activities related to the recognition of diplomas and the establishment of a scientific center for the prevention and control of animal diseases, based on the achievements of the Chinese traditional veterinary medicine, supported by the Belt and Road Initiative of the ‘16 + 1’ Mechanism, stated the Ministry of Civil Affairs of BiH.
