The first RFS line dispatched from Sarajevo International Airport

FENA Press release

SARAJEVO, May 27 (FENA) - The Sarajevo International Airport has established the first RFS service line (Road Feeder Service) on the Sarajevo-Belgrade route, implemented in cooperation with the airline company Air Serbia.

By establishing this service, the Sarajevo International Airport gets a new quality in the cargo services segment and significantly improves its capabilities in terms of transportation of goods.

This type of transport is common around the world and is an addition to the transport of goods by air, mainly used for the transport of goods to destinations where the airline does not fly or to destinations where regular airlines are unable to secure sufficient cargo transport capacities.

By establishing the RFS line for Belgrade, conditions have been met for the dispatch of large dimension goods with direct connection to Air Serbia flights from Belgrade, in shortest interval possible.

The Sarajevo International Airport has secured all logistics capacities in terms of accommodation and handling of goods at the location where the goods will be accepted from the sender.

The goods can now be delivered to the Sarajevo Airport every working day, and Air Serbia will do the transport once a week, stated the Sarajevo International Airport.
