SARAJEVO, May 24 (FENA) - High Representative Valentin Inzko filed a submission to the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina in his capacity as a friend of the court (amicus curiae) on May 7th, in connection with the appeal of the Deputy Chair of the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly Borjana Krišto, the Office of the High Representative (OHR) told FENA.
As they stated, the text of the amicus curiae submission will soon be available on the OHR's website.
The BiH Constitutional Court had previously asked the High Representative in BiH to give his opinion on the matter as a friend of the court.
The Vice President of the BiH Constitutional Court, Zlatko M. Knežević, explained that this opinion was requested because in the period when the Constitution of the Federation of BiH (FBiH) was being amended, the OHR directly participated in its amending.
Ms. Krišto submitted an appeal to the BiH Constitutional Court challenging the provisions of the FBiH Constitution which stipulate that one delegate from each canton from each people is elected.
The Constitutional Court announced that at one of the next sessions, the decision will be made on Borjana Krišto’s appeal, which they had previously considered.
