SARAJEVO, May 24 (FENA) - Bosnia and Herzegovina's Minister of Civil Affairs Adil Osmanović met in Sarajevo with the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to BiH Hala Bishlawy with whom he discussed the possibilities for enhancing cooperation between the two countries in areas where the Ministry of Civil Affairs has jurisdiction.
“We are particularly interested in cooperation in the fields of science, culture, education, youth and health. We believe that the relations between the two countries in these areas need to be regulated through the signing of a memorandum of cooperation, so we are ready to launch activities in this direction,” Minister Osmanović said.
He pointed out that the Memorandum of Understanding, which defines cooperation in the field of youth, is already in the process, and pledged that the signing of this document should be completed as soon as possible, to the mutual satisfaction of the users.
Ambassador Bishlawy particularly advocated cooperation in higher education. She stated that the Arab Republic of Egypt was ready to grant scholarships to a number of students from BiH and expressed the expectation that scholarships would be put to good use and that young people from BiH will show interest in studies in Egypt.
Minister Osmanović informed his interlocutor about the competences of the Ministry of Civil Affairs and pointed out all areas of possible future cooperation, the ministry stated.
