SARAJEVO, May 23 (FENA) - Minister of Finance and Treasury of BiH Vjekoslav Bevanda said today in a statement to reporters in Sarajevo that he regrets that the last session of the Board of Directors of the Indirect Taxation Authority, despite all his efforts to reach the decision, ended in failure in terms of agreement on the method of distribution of the collected excise tax funds.

“Today, the representatives of EBRD requested a meeting because their superiors from London came to ask the question that I have asked as well - why did we pass the law on excise tax when we have the situation that the law is passed, the funds are being collected on a separate account with the Central Bank, but we have no decision on their distribution,” said Bevanda.

He explained that now "we have a situation in which the funds are being collected in that special account, and nothing has changed, there is no decision".

He added that this is not a question that should be directed to him but to the entity authorities.

He also recalled that the decision by the ITA Board of Directors must be agreed between all three finance ministers.
