SARAJEVO, May 23 (FENA) - Director of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH Mirsad Vilić received today in a working visit the Head of the Delegation of the European Union to BiH and EU Special Representative Ambassador Lars-Gunnar Wigemark and informed him about the competencies of the Directorate, activities and tasks of its police officers.
He presented the successful results from the recent activities, especially those related to the provision of security detail to foreign delegations during their stay in BiH.
He also emphasized the importance of international operational police cooperation, conducted through the Directorate.
So far, the EU has allocated significant resources to strengthen the capacities of the Directorate, including the modernization of its IT equipment.
Wigemark expressed gratitude for the cooperation so far, and emphasized the important role of the Directorate in the security system of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
At the end of the meeting, the guests visited the Operations Center of the Directorate, where they had the opportunity to obtain information on the latest tools that the Directorate uses, such as the video surveillance system and the digital radio system, stated the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of BiH.
