Chinese Ambassador Chen Bo visits Foreigners Affairs Service of BiH

SARAJEVO, May 22 (FENA) - Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Bosnia and Herzegovina Chen Bo visited today the Foreigners Affairs Service of BiH.

Bo met with the director of this institution, Slobodan Ujić and discussed the signed Agreement on the mutual termination of visa regime between the People's Republic of China and Bosnia and Herzegovina for holders of regular passports, as well as on the problem of increased influx of migrants in BiH.

Bo thanked Ujić for the efforts invested in the signing of the aforementioned agreement, which will enable greater cooperation between the two countries in all areas, especially in tourism.

Last year, 30,000 tourists from the People's Republic of China visited BiH, and in 2018, some 70,000 Chinese tourists are expected.

She emphasized that the agreement should be especially used to increase economic cooperation and exchange.

The agreement was signed on 27 November 2017 in Budapest, and will come into force on 29 May.

The agreement stipulates that the nationals of both of the signatory countries may enter and stay in the territory of another country without visas for up to 90 days, within any given period of 180 days.
