SARAJEVO, May 22 (FENA) - The delegation of the Secretariat of the Council of Europe, led by Deputy Director of the Directorate of Political Affairs Daniil Khochabo and Deputy Head of the Council of Europe Office in Sarajevo Toni Pavlovski paid a working visit to the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and met with the Speakers of the House of Representatives and the House of Peoples Edin Mušić and Lidija Bradara.
The visit was organized by the Council of Europe as part of their preparation of the 19th Report on the harmonization of the obligations of BiH and the implementation of the post-accession program of cooperation.
The meeting focused on the political situation in the Federation of BiH, with a special focus on the Reform Agenda, the Coordination Mechanism, Election Law and education system.
Representatives of the Council of Europe praised the adoption of certain legislation in the Parliament of the Federation of BiH, especially on gender equality and prevention of hate speech.
Khochabo stressed the progress and positive results and reminded that the CoE is a partner and a friend ready to help the BiH institutions, primarily with expert advice regarding the Election Law, labor legislation, education and many other issues, stated the FBiH Parliament.
