SARAJEVO, May 20 (FENA) – President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan visited the International University (IUS) in Sarajevo today.
On this occasion Erdoğan as awarded with an honorary doctorate degree as a recognition for his work, extraordinary contribution to building of a more humane society, promotion of dignity and culture of dialogue in Europe and the world.
With this recognition Foundation for Development of Education Sarajevo (SEDEF) and International University in Sarajevo once again confirmed good historic, social, cultural and political relations between our two states, IUS stated in a press release.
President Erdoğan was accompanied by his delegation and Chair of the BiH Presidency Bakir Izetbegović.
“It is my great pleasure to be here with you, especially on this occasion. I will try and carry the title awarded to me today with honor. At the time we live in there is a need for young leaders who need to have a wide education. It is with this idea we give scholarships to students who strengthen their country with their knowledge, said Erdoğan.
