Pendeš - Saxer: Significant progress in solving surplus weapons and ammunition

SARAJEVO, May 16 (FENA) - Minister of Defense of BiH Marina Pendeš and her associates met with Ambassador of Swiss Confederation to BiH Andrea Rauber Saxer and discussed current issues in Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces of BiH.

They also talked about progress made in process of solving surplus weapons and ammunition and programs supported by Government of Switzerland concerning this process.

They stated significant progress has been made in this area and that next meeting of the Strategic Committee for Weapons, Ammunition and Explosive Ordnance will be an opportunity to review situation, analyze the effects and define next steps and plans for implementation of activities from this area.

Ambassador Saxer said that Government of Switzerland supports further reforms in BiH and BiH's Euro-Atlantic path, PR Office of BiH MoD stated.
