SARAJEVO, May 15 (FENA) - Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bakir Izetbegović sent a letter of condolence to President of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas.
“We have watched with great dismay and deep sorrow the tragic events in the Gaza Strip, where a large number of unarmed Palestinian civilians were killed by Israeli security forces.
We have been witnesses of an enormous tragedy for the entire civilized world and we hope that the international community will finally recognize the need for urgent action to stop the violence,” said Izetbegović in the letter.
“In these tragic moments for the Palestinian people, on behalf of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina and myself, I would like to express the deepest condolences and solidarity with you and the families of those who have lost their lives trying to make the world aware of the decades of humiliation and injustice that the Palestinians have suffered, and the intolerable of living conditions in Gaza,” wrote Izetbegović in the letter to President Abbas, stated the Public Relations office of the BiH Presidency.
