SARAJEVO, May 3 (FENA) - As of May 7, citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Italian citizens residing in BiH will be able to apply to some of the scholarships offered by the Government of the Republic of Italy for academic year 2018/2019.
Knowledge of the Italian or English language is required in order to receive a scholarship, depending on the language in which the lectures will be held.
The scholarships are intended for those who intend to study or conduct research in Italy with an institution such as universities, academies, conservatories, restoration institutes, scientific research centers and laboratories, the National School of Cinema, libraries, archives or museums.
They are awarded for postgraduate studies, AFAM courses (higher education in the fields of art, music and dance), research doctorates and projects with academic supervision, the Embassy of Italy to BiH stated.
It is also possible to apply for scholarships for attending short courses of the Italian language for a duration of three months, for which knowledge of only the basics of the Italian language is required.
Italian language professors can also apply for these scholarships, but all scholarship applications will be considered after the eventual giving up of the scholarship recipients.
