SARAJEVO, May 3 (FENA) - On 14 March 2018, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed the indictment charging the accused Dalibor Maksimović with the criminal offense of War Crimes against Civilians under Article 142(1) of the Criminal Code of the Socialist Federative Republic of Yugoslavia.
The Indictment charges the accused that during the war and armed conflict in Bosnia and Herzegovina between the military and police forces of the Army of R BiH and military, para-military, police and para-police forces of the Serb Republic of BiH, in violation of the rules of international humanitarian law, during an armed conflict, acting in breach of Article 3 of the Geneva Convention for the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War of 12 August 1949, as a member of the Military Unit TO Milići V.P. 7296 Milići, on 18 April 1992 in the afternoon hours, in the Standard building in Karakaj, Municipality of Zvornik, currently the Technology Faculty building, whose upper floor was back then used as the Serb SJB Zvornik of MUP of the Serb Republic of BiH, while the ground floor housed members of TO Zvornik military formations, including the Military Unit from Milići, so-called “Milići company,” dressed in a military camouflage uniform and armed with an automatic rifle, in the presence of other members of his unit, he committed the murder of multiple Bosniak civilians, stated the BiH Court.
