SARAJEVO, April 27 (FENA) – BiH Minister of Communications and Transport Ismir Jusko held a meeting with the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China in Sarajevo, Chen Bo.
The topics of the meeting were the improvement of air traffic between the two countries with the possibility of establishing the Sarajevo-Belgrade-Beijing air route and the nomination of Bosnia and Herzegovina for hosting the 16+1 Ministerial Conference, which Minister Jusko initiated at the last meeting of this conference.
Minister Jusko and Ambassador Bo agreed that in the forthcoming period they would work together on all the procedures necessary for the signing of the Agreement on the improvement of air transport between BiH and China. They agree that all the activities related to this agreement should not be delayed, but as soon as possible finalized and signed.
As Ambassador Bo pointed out, China continues to support BiH in hosting one of the formats of the 16+1 ministerial conference in 2019.
Ambassador Bo highlighted the tourism potential of BiH and pointed out that the number of tourists coming from China to visit BiH had increased by 130 to 140 percent. This number will certainly increase significantly after the entry into force of the Visa Waiver Agreement for Chinese citizens, the BiH Ministry of Communications and Transport stated.
