SARAJEVO, April 20 (FENA) - A delegation of the German Federal State of Baden-Württemberg led by Petra Olschowski, State Secretary in the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts, visited today the University of Sarajevo (UNSA) where she met with Rector prof. Dr. Rifat Škrijelj, Vice Rectors of the University, representatives of organizational units and the Center for Building and Maintenance of the Campus.
The visit was organized in order to gain insight into the cultural, economic and higher education sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina and to improve the existing cooperation.
At the meeting in the UNSA Campus, Ms. Olschowski, talking about the cooperation so far, recalled the project on the Sarajevo Campus called "The Power of Open Space" in which four universities from Bosnia and Herzegovina and Germany participated, and a workshop that was held in 2017, which brought together 60 students and teachers.
“’The Power of Open Space’ is an impressive example of transnational cooperation in science and research,” Ms. Olschowski emphasized, pointing out that continuity in cooperation is very significant.
She also said that the overall aim of the delegation of the German Federal State of Baden-Württemberg’s visit was to expand partnerships in economy, science and culture, as well as to find new ways to work together in the future.
The meeting ended with the presentation "The Past, Present and Future of the Sarajevo University Campus" and the presentation of the results of the project "The Power of Open Space", the UNSA Public Relations Department stated.
