Salkić: All those who committed crimes must be prosecuted and punished

BOSNIAN BROD, April 16 (FENA) - We have an obligation to seek truth and justice and that all those who committed crimes are prosecuted and punished, the RS Vice-President Ramiz Salkić said today in Kolibe Gornje near Bosanski Brod, where he attended the marking of the 26th anniversary of the crime committed in this place.

According to witnesses, on April 16, 1992, 23 people from this area were killed in an attack by Serb military forces and the Yugoslav People’s Army units. In this largest crime in the Bosanski Brod municipality, 13 Bosniaks and 10 Croats were killed, and 26 years later, families are still waiting for justice and prosecution of those responsible, Mr. Salkić’s office said.

In his address to the attendees, Vice-President Salkić said that survivors and all other citizens had to do everything in their power to keep the victims of this crime from oblivion.
