SOFIA/SARAJEVO, April 12 (FENA) - Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denis Zvizdić, met today in Sofia with Bulgarian President Rumen Radev with whom he discussed improvement of bilateral relations, introduction of direct air connection between Sarajevo and Sofia and organization of business forums to bring entrepreneurs of the two countries closer together.
The collocutors emphasized at the meeting that the political relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Bulgaria were good, that there were no open issues and that there was mutual interest in deepening cooperation, especially in the economy.
Mr. Zvizdić informed Bulgarian President about the current internal political situation in BiH as well as about BiH's foreign policy priorities, saying that the Council of Ministers remains committed to the EU and NATO road and actively supports all regional initiatives and processes that contribute to building peace and stability in the Balkans and accelerating Euro-Atlantic integration of the region.
President Radev reminded that Bulgaria was the first country to recognize BiH and since then had continued to support BiH and congratulated on the submission of the responses to the European Commission Questionnaire, expressing hope that during the Bulgarian Presidency BiH will receive EC’s response.
The Bulgarian President commended the work of the BiH Council of Ministers on reforms and praised the growth of tourism in BiH, especially the industrial branch which needs to be stimulated.
The meeting was attended by BiH Minister of Justice Josip Grubeša, BiH Minister of Communications and Transport Ismir Jusko and BiH’s Ambassador to Bulgaria Radomir Bogdanović.
Chairman of the BiH Council of Ministers Denis Zvizdić also met with Bulgarian Parliament's Foreign Policy Committee Chair Dzhema Grozdanova, the BiH CoM PR Department said.
