SARAJEVO, April 4 (FENA) - The BiH Council of Ministers adopted a Proposal for the conclusion of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Serbia on mutual cooperation and acceptance of documents issued by accredited laboratories for industrial non-food products.
The aim is to improve trade and reduce barriers in the trade of technical industrial products in order to further strengthen economic cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Serbia.
In this way, the unnecessary practice of non-recognition of test reports by accredited laboratories will be removed because the accreditation bodies from both countries are the signatories to the European Accreditation (EA) Agreement.
The Memorandum represents the implementing act of the Economic Cooperation Agreement between the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Government of the Republic of Serbia in 2009.
Earlier, the relevant ministries of the two countries concluded the Protocol on Mutual Recognition and Acceptance of Documents of Accredited Laboratories in the Field of Food and Animal Feed of Plant and Mixed Origin.
The proposal for the conclusion of this Memorandum will be submitted to the BiH Presidency for further procedure, and the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina is proposed as the BiH signatory, the BiH Council of Ministers said.
