SARAJEVO, April 4 (FENA) - The Delegations of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of BiH, on the occasion of marking the 26th anniversary of the founding of the Croatian Defense Council (HVO) and the 13th anniversary of the founding of the First Infantry Guard of the BiH AF, today laid wreaths and lit candles at the Memorial site for the fallen and deceased HVO members at the Roman Catholic Cemetery St. Joseph in Sarajevo.
The delegations were headed by Deputy Chief of Joint Staff for Operation Brigadier General Ivica Jerkić with associates, along with representatives of HVO Veterans' Associations, executive and legislative authorities in BiH.
After laying of the wreaths and lighting of the candles, a Holy Mass for the killed, deceased and missing HVO members was served in the church of Saints Cyril and Methodius in Sarajevo by the chaplain of the BiH AF, Don Željko Čuturić.
The wreaths were also placed yesterday in front of the memorial for the fallen soldiers in Križančevo village and Tomislavgrad and the central ceremony marking the 26th anniversary of the founding of the HVO and the 13th anniversary of the 1st Infantry Guard of the BiH AF will be held on Thursday, April 5th in the barracks "Sons of Posavina" in Orašje, the BiH Ministry of Defense said.
