Political parties almost solely focused on implementation of Reform Agenda

SARAJEVO, March 29 (FENA) - Six months ahead of the general elections in BiH, the "Istinomjer" Initiative presented the total number of promises made by the FBiH Government and the Council of Ministers of BiH in the previous election campaign.

According to the Initiative, they took into consideration the election programs for the 2014 General Elections, from those political parties that formed the government at the level of the Federation of BiH and the state.

“Istinomjer” points out that the political parties apparently have been more focused on meeting the requirements from the Reform Agenda than fulfilling their own promises.

A researcher of Istinomjer, Dalio Sijah presented the data that only one promises has been fulfilled at the FBiH level and that is the one on the adoption of the Pension and Disability Insurance Act.

“Also, only ten percent of the promises are likely to be fulfilled by the end of the mandate, i.e. in these few months left, and 71 percent of the promises are unlikely to be fulfilled,” said Istinomjer’s researcher Dalio Sijah.

Researcher Damir Dajanović said that the governments have been completely dysfunctional, both at the entity and at the state level.

Research Coordinator of Istinomjer, Aida Ajanović, said that when it comes to the rule of law and education, these are the areas in which no political party made any promises whatsoever.
