SARAJEVO, March 23 (FENA) - Ambassador of Austria to Bosnia and Herzegovina Martin Pammer, who is in the last year of his diplomatic engagement in BiH was a guest at N1 Television and on this occasion said that "the leaders of the constituent peoples lack the common vision of Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of the EU", but also that the success of BiH on the path towards the European Union is something that cannot be ignored.

“We often hear questions such as where do you see this, what kind of narrative it is, positive or negative. There is progress, there are more jobs. I think that the political elite could try harder and seek compromises especially with regard to the election law. There are steps that can be taken. We are in the pre-campaign stage ahead of general elections. These are not just political issues, but also structural ones," Pammer told N1.

He stressed that the relations and cooperation that Austria has with Bosnia and Herzegovina are extremely good and they expand and develop at all levels.

Pammer also reminded that Austria is the number one investor in BiH and that many BiH citizens work in Austrian companies.

“Austria, like BiH, is a small country; it is not a world power. It used to be so, when we were together in one country. The times when we were together time brought us a lot of good, positive things,” said Pammer.

Pammer announced the second Austrian Ball at the Sarajevo City Hall that will be held on 12 May.

The diplomatic mandate of the Austrian Ambassador Martin Pammer ends in January 2019.
