SARAJEVO, March 20 (FENA) - Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bakir Izetbegović received a delegation of the International Association of Islamic Business (IAIB).
IAIB President Marat Kabaev informed Chairman Izetbegović about the association saying that it is a Muslims businessmen association which has its 31 representative offices in Russia, as well as offices in Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates.
IAIB is planning to open a representative office in Bosnia and Herzegovina, which would be its link to the rest of Europe.
The IAIB delegation included a number of prominent businessmen from Russia and Turkey, who showed great interest in investing in Bosnia and Herzegovina, primarily in the fields of tourism, energy, oil and metal industries, as well as food production under halal standards.
The FBiH Prime Minister Fadil Novalić informed the delegation about the potentials of Bosnia and Herzegovina in terms of foreign investments, as well as a number of concrete projects.
Chairman Izetbegović welcomed the initiative to establish a representative office of IAIB in Bosnia and Herzegovina, expressing expectation that this would result in concrete investments in BiH, along with linking the BiH companies with businesses in Russia and Turkey,” said the BiH Presidency.
