SARAJEVO/SOFIA, March 20 (FENA) - Minister of Communications and Transport of Bosnia and Herzegovina Ismir Jusko and Secretary of this Ministry Igor Pejić, at the invitation of the Minister of Transport, Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Bulgaria, Ivaylo Moskovsky are participating at the high level conference on the European Multimodal Freight Transport in Sofia.
The conference presented the importance and possibilities of multimodal transport of cargo, especially in the context of 2018, which has been declared the year of European multimodality.
On the sidelines of the conference, Commissioner Violeta Bulc held a meeting with all ministers and delegations from the countries of the Western Balkans and informed the participants on the topics and projects that the European Commission will be focused on in the coming period.
These themes and projects will be dedicated to road transport safety, multimodal transport, border crossings and special parking spaces for freight transport. This is especially important for the projects planned in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Minister Jusko presented the situation in the field of transport in BiH to Commissioner Bulc and ministers of Western Balkan countries, the status of operations carried out on the Svilaj Bridge, the status of the Gradiška Bridge, with the emphasis on the possibility that the European Commission finances the access road in Gradiška and the activities related to the planned construction of the bridge over the Tara River.
Commissioner Bulc especially praised Bosnia and Herzegovina in all segments within the competence of the BiH Ministry of Communications and Transport.
After the meeting, Jusko held a bilateral meeting with Bulc on the details of each of the projects and intensified activities regarding Bulc's visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, planned in mid-2018, stated the Ministry of Communications and Transport of BiH.
